Sharp Aquos R9 is unveiled with Leica's Hector lens and Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipsetSharp Aquos R9 has been unveiled just now and will be launched to the market in mid-July. The device is based on the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 mobile platform. It is paired with 12GB of RAM that can be virtually expanded with up to 8GB. The built-in storage is 256GB. Moreover, this is the first AQUOS smartphone to use a vapor chamber that diffuses heat by circulating liquid and vapor inside. It maintains smooth performance even during heavy processing such as long video recording.

The 50MP main camera supervised by Leica is equipped with a large 1/1.55-inch image sensor, Leica's Hector lens, and supports optical image stabilization. You can take pictures with less blur even in dark places. Equipped with an AF that predicts and tracks the subject's movement even when the subject is hidden behind objects, you can capture every photo opportunity even in scenes where there are obstacles between you and the subject, such as park playground equipment. For videos, it has a cinematic mode that allows you to shoot with a sense of perspective, and a night video mode that allows you to shoot brightly even at night. It also supports hybrid image stabilization that combines electronic and optical image stabilization, allowing you to shoot stable videos with less blur. There's a 50MP ultra-wide lens as well as a 50MP selfie snapper.

Furthermore, the Sharp Aquos R9 is equipped with a 6.5-inch Pro IGZO OLED display that can drive up to 240Hz and provide a smooth experience. The brightness has been significantly increased, making the display easier to see even under bright sunlight. The R9 has the largest BOX speakers on an Aquos smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound support. Power is supplied by a 5000 mAh battery.

The latest Aquos R device has been completely redesigned under the supervision of "miyake design", founded by designer Kazunari Miyake. The design combines simplicity and presence with an impressive "free curve" that surrounds the camera, neither a circle nor a square. The main body frame is made of recycled aluminum, achieving both beauty and environmental friendliness. In addition to being waterproof and dustproof, the R9 also supports shock resistance in accordance with the MIL-STD-810 standards.
