Add DeviceSpecifications as a preferred source on GoogleWe received a Samsung Galaxy A36 unit for review and while we're working on it, here's a quick reminder of the main specifications of this smartphone and some initial observations. Firstly, it is based on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 mobile platform with a 2.4GHz octa-core CPU and an Adreno 710 GPU. You can choose from 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. Our review unit is the 8GB+256GB variant in Awesome White color. Power is supplied by a 5000 mAh battery and so far, it provides very good autonomy. The device has built-in power-saving features that cannot be user-controlled. It is built around a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. You get two options for the display's refresh rate. One is the pure 60Hz option and the other is called "Adaptive". It works at 120Hz by default but is ready to change immediately depending on the content, type of app, and battery status. The 8-bit screen is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+. The Samsung Galaxy A36 camera department is headed by a 50MP shooter with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS. It is adjoined by a 12MP ultra-wide unit and a 5MP macro lens. A 12MP sensor with an f/2.2 lens is used for the selfie camera on the front. The device has an in-display fingerprint sensor and is IP67-rated for water and dust resistance.
