LG G6 to feature a 5.7" QHD+ FullVision display and the company's latest UX 6.0It is official. LG G6 will feature a 5.7-inch FullVision display with a QHD+ resolution, which is translated to 1440 x 2880 in pixels. Similar to the Xiaomi Mi MIX, LG's flagship for 2017 will have a display with an unusual aspect ratio of 18:9 that will occupy almost entirely the front of the smartphone. The press release stresses that the device is ergonomically designed in order to ensure comfortable handling and compatibility with existing and upcoming digital content. The benefits of having this FullVision display are maximized by LG's latest UX 6.0, which will make its first appearance on the LG G6. It will include several features such as "1) Differentiated experience for viewing content such as video clips and web surfing; 2) Improved camera UX that maximizes the extra real estate provided by the 18:9 format display; 3) Smartly designed GUI (Graphical User Interface) that enables the opening of two perfectly square windows side by side, delivering a more productive, better multitasking experience." "The LG G6 with FullVision was inspired by the philosophy of experts in the movie industry who believe that an 18:9 ratio screen would be the best solution for viewing both old and new cinematic content in the digital age," said Juno Cho, president of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. "We've not only embraced that philosophy in our newest smartphone but taken it to a whole new level by incorporating the 18:9 format in many other ways. I think users will appreciate the many ways we've made the LG G6 more productive." LG has also prepared a video preview of the UX 6.0, which you may watch below. If you happen to visit the MWC in Barcelona at the end of the month, the LG G6 will be unveiled on February 26th, and you can check it out at LG's both.
