iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are finally announcedTwo of the most anticipated smartphones for 2017 are finally official. Meet the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus. They are made of a 7000 series aluminium alloy coupled with the most durable glass on a smartphone for the back. The bodies are IP68 certified. The first model has a 4.7-inch display and the plus version boasts a 5.4-inch screen. Both models are equipped with dual stereo speakers. Under the hood, there's a brand new chip called A11 Bionic. This is a 64-bit, six-core CPU along with a 2nd generation Apple-designed performance controller and Apple-designed GPU. The latter is created especially for 3D gaming. iPhone 8 features an all-new 12MP sensor with large pixels, while the iPhone 8 Plus has two 12MP shooters. The first is with an f/1.8 lens, while the second packs an f/2.8 lens. Optical image stabilisation is provided as well. The shooters are capable of recording 4K videos at 60 fps along with slow motion videos - 1080p at 240 fps. The cameras are calibrated for augmented reality (AR). The devices pack all-new gyroscope and accelerometer plus accurate motion tracking. iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are available in 64GB and 256GB versions and their prices are set at USD 699 and USD 799 for the 64GB version, respectively.
