ZTE unveils the Axon 40 Ultra and Axon 40 Pro

ZTE has unveiled the Axon 40 Ultra and the Axon 40 Pro in China today, each running on Android 12 with MyOS 12 on top. The ZTE Axon 40 Utra features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 3D curve on the sides, an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, and an under-display 16MP selfie camera that uses ZTE's UDC Pro technology. The display has 10-bit color bit depth, 120Hz refresh rate, 1440hz pulse width modulation, 1500 nits of peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage, and resolution of 1116 x 2480 pixels. Power is supplied by a 5000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging. Processing power is based on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset with 8GB/12GB/16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB of UFS 3.1 storage. The rear camera department has three 64MP shooters - a Sony IMX787 main lens with an f/1.6 aperture, OIS; a Sony IMX787 ultra-wide camera with AF, and a 64MP telephoto lens with an OV64B sensor and OIS. These are adjoined by a ToF sensor and a flicker sensor. All cameras record 8K video. The smartphone is fitted with dual stereo speakers, USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 1 port. The ZTE Axon 40 Utra is priced as follows:
