RED is a famous and largely praised manufacturer of high-end digital cameras. The company has just announced its first smartphone, which happens to be modular and has a holographic display. Namer Hydrogen One
it will feature a 5.7-inch screen with holographic capabilities, so you won't need to use special glasses for multi-dimensional content. The nanotechnology employed by display easily switches between 2D and 3D content, holographic multi-view content and games, etc. The device runs Android with a proprietary H3O algorithm that converts stereo sound to multi-dimensional audio to support multi-dimensional imaging. RED also shares that Hydrogen One
is the base to create an ever-expanding modular component system that will enable the device to make higher quality images and Hydrogen format holographic images by using future modules. The smartphone will also be completely compatible (as a user face and monitor) with some of RED's cameras - Scarlet, EPIC, and Weapon. The model will have two variants and prices. The first has an aluminium alloy body and its current price is set at USD 1195. The second is made of titanium and is priced at USD 1595. This pricing is available for a limited time only and the first batch of devices will be shipped in the first quarter of 2018.Source
