Samsung announces the Galaxy A8(2018) and Galaxy A8+(2018) with Inifinity displays and dual front camerasToday Samsung has announced the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018). They inherit the design of Samsung's flagships and feature Infinity displays and dual front cameras with Live focus. The main front camera has a 16MP sensor with an f/1.9 lens, while the auxiliary snapper packs an 8MP sensor. These are two separate cameras and you can switch between the two to take a photo. A 16MP sensor is employed for the primary shooter on the back, which also employs an f/1.7 lens. It is aided by video digital image stabilisation (VDis) technology and a hyperlapse feature for time-lapse videos. The Galaxy A8 (2018) has a 5.6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display and a 3000 mAh battery, while the Galaxy A8+ (2018) features a 6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen and a 3500 mAh battery. Under the hood, a 2.2GHz octa-core Exynos 7885 CPU ticks coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of storage for the A8 2018) and 4/6GB of RAM and 32/64GB of storage for the A8+ (2018). The Galaxy A8 (2018) and A8+ (2018) are available in four colours including black, orchid grey, gold and blue. Both devices arrive with an Always On Display, Samsung Pay, Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) and Near Field Communication (NFC). Their bodies are waterproof and dust-tight with IP68 certification.
