Razer Phone is official - a smartphone for gamers by gamersRazer Phone has been announced as promised packing a number of prominent features. For starters, there are two front-facing stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos sound. Each is powered by an individual amplifier certified by THX. They are coupled with a 24-bit DAC. Secondly, complying with previous information, the smartphone is built around a 5.7-inch IGZO display from Sharp with a QHD resolution, Wide Color Gamut (WCG) and 120Hz refresh rate. In a similar fashion to gaming desktop monitors, the screen adopts an adaptive refresh technology called UltraMotion. It synchronizes the display with the GPU to prevent tearing and stuttering. The display is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Razer Phone is based on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with 8GB of dual-channel LPDDR4 RAM and 64G of UFS storage. and has two rear cameras. The first is equipped with a 12MP sensor and an f/1.75 lens, while the second packs a 12MP sensor with an f/2.6 zoom lens. On the front, an 8MP snapper sits with an f/20 lens. The device has a fingerprint sensor embedded in the power key on the side. A 4000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 4+ support is on board as well. The model runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Nova Launcher Prime Razer Edition. The model will go on sale on November 17th, priced at USD 699 (unlocked) via Razer's online store.
