Belated - Xiaomi 14 debuts with a compact body and advanced specifications

The duo of new Xiaomi smartphones is complemented by the vanilla Xiaomi 14. It boasts a compact body that's only 71.5 mm wide and is available in two finishes. The glass-finish versions are 8.2 mm thick and weigh 193 g. They are available in green and white color. The vegan leather versions are 8.28 mm thick and even lighter - 188 g. The available colors include black and pink. IP68 rating is also specified. The display bezels are extremely thin - 1.61 mm top and sides, and 1.71 mm at the bottom, hence you get excellent screen real state in a compact form.
The display uses a 6.36-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1200 x 2670 px. Again, it has been developed together with TCL CSOT using the C8 luminescent material. As a result, the display is capable of reaching a peak brightness of 3000 nits. The LTPO backplane enables the adaptive refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. 12-bit color bit depth has also been specified. DC dimming is also supported. The display is HLG, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision certified.
Xiaomi 14 also boasts the 50MP Light Hunter 900 sensor for its main camera with an f/1.6 aperture, a 7-element Leica lens, and OIS. There's also a 75 mm telephoto unit with a 50MP sensor that outputs 50MP photos for portraits and 32MP photos for all other scenarios. It has a 6-element Leica lens with an f/2.0 aperture and is optically stabilized. Finally, there's a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 115-degree FoV, an f/2.2 aperture, a 6-element Leica lens, and EIS. There's a 32MP sensor for selfies.
Xiaomi 14 is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile platform with 8GB/12GB/16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Power is supplied by a 4610 mAh battery with 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging support. It is aided by a Surge P2 chip ad a Surge G1 battery management chip. This model features an in-display fingerprint sensor, IR blaster, stereo speakers, four microphones, an X-axis linear motor, etc.
