Oukitel WP55 Ultra goes official with a thermal camera and a Dimensity 7025 chipset

Add DeviceSpecifications as a preferred source on GoogleOukitel WP55 Ultra is a brand-new big-battery rugged smartphone by Oukitel. It features four rear cameras, one of which is thermal. This unit uses an Oxide Vanadium (VOx) Uncooled Infrared Focal Plane Detector and delivers images with a resolution of 256 x 192 px. The pixel pitch of the sensor is 12 μm and the spectral range is 8-14 μm. The camera can detect temperatures from -15°C to 550°C. It is adjoined by a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 main shooter with a 79° FoV, an 8MP SK Hynix Hi-846 Night Vision camera with dual IR lights and autofocus, and a 5MP macro lens. The front-facing camera uses a 32MP Sony IMX616 sensor paired with an f/2.2 lens.
The Oukitel WP55 Ultra is built around a 6.58-inch in-cell IPS display by BOE with an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a typical brightness of 450 cd/m². The screen is protected by a 1.1 mm-thick Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Power is supplied by an 11000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Processing power depends on a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 chipset with a 2.5GHz octa-core CPU and an IMG BXM-8-256 GPU. There are 16GB of RAM on board along with 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage that can be expanded via a microSD card. The smartphone has a hybrid, dual-SIM tray. It is also fitted with a 1217 BOX speaker, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port. The model runs on Android 15 and supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC.
