Sony introduced the Xperia 5 II with a 6.1" 120Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 865 chipsetSony has introduced its latest flagship smartphone - the Xperia 5 II. Following Sony's design language for mobile devices, it features a sleek compact body with IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The front is adorned with a 6.1-inch cinematic OLED display with an FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, while on the back there's a triple-lens camera. The module comprises of a 12MP primary camera with 24 mm focal length equivalent and an f/1.7 aperture. There's a 12MP telephoto camera with a 70 mm focal length equivalent and an f/2.4 aperture. Finally, the third shooter packs a 12MP sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, 16 mm focal length, and an f/2.2 lens. A 3D ToF element is present as well. Of course, they all feature Zeiss optics with T* anti-reflective coating. They inherit the Photo Pro Technology from Sony's Alpha camera series, offer eye AF and other pro photography features.

The Sony Xperia 5 II is equipped with Snapdragon 865 chipset featuring Qualcomm's Elite Gaming features and a special cooling system. The chipset is paired to 8GB of RAM and there's a choice of built-in storage -128GB and 256GB. It can be expanded via a microSD card slot. A 4000 mAh battery with 21W fast charging support is provided but the inbox charger is an 18W one. The audio system includes front-firing stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, Hi-Res Audio support. The device is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on the front and back. It is available in Black, Grey, Blue, and Pink colors. The USA will get the black color only, while Europe will receive Black, Grey, and Blue. Pre-orders commence on September 29 with the first shipping scheduled for December. The Sony Xperia 5 II costs USD 950.
