Vivo NEX is unveiled with a 6.59 OLED display, full-display sound technology, periscope selfie camera

Vivo NEX is unveiled with a 6.59 OLED display, full-display sound technology, periscope selfie cameraAfter numerous leaks and teasers, the Vivo NEX is finally official. This smartphone arrives with a huge 6.59-inch Super AMOLED display - no bangs, thin bezels - 1.71 mm lateral ones and a 2.16 mm top bezel, full unobstructed view. It only has a minimal chin at the bottom. The screen to body ratio is specified as being 91.24%. The aspect ratio is 19.3:9 and the resolution is 1080 x 2316 pixels. The receiver issue is solved by using a full-screen sound technology - that is, the sound comes out from the display. In addition, Vivo uses its original light compensation algorithm to successfully hide the light sensor on the bottom of the screen. At the same time, the infrared micro-slit is cleverly hidden at the top of the screen. The backplate of the Diamond Black colour version of the model uses a nanotechnology that creates a holographic illusion. During the laser process, tens of thousands of chromatic diffractive units are carved on the back cover. After repeated debugging, each diffractive surface can exhibit the effect of the illusion of light and shadow circulation. The Ruby Red colour variant adopts microcrystal crystallization technology. The 8MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 lens uses a periscope style casing that is made of stainless steel and has been tested for 50000 times of going up and down. It can withstand strong tension and torsion and intelligently detects of external force. In such cases, it automatically goes down. According to Vivo, it takes only a second for the camera to pop up. On the back, there are two shooters. The main one packs a 12MP Sony IMX363 sensor with an f/1.8 lens, dual-tone LED flash, dual-core PDAF and 4-axis OIS. AI is widely used here for scene recognition, filter application, backlight shooting, etc. The auxiliary rear snapper has a 5MP sensor and an f/2.4 lens. Vivo NEX runs on Funtouch OS 4 with Jovi AI voice assistant. It can be called up by voice or by dedicated key on the left side of the frame, the same way Samsung's Bixby button works. The model is based on the brand new Snapdragon 710 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It is even suitable for playing games as the device arrives with an improved Game Mode 4.0. Power is supplied by a high-density 4000 mAh battery. The standard Vivo NEX with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at CNY 3898. The NEX Ultimate packs a Snapdragon 845 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in memory and costs CNY 4498, while the 8GB+256GB variant of the Ultimate is priced at CNY 4998.Source
