Qualcomm and Broadcom set a meeting on February 14thAfter Qualcomm's second rejection of Broadcom's acquisition offer last Friday, the two companies have appointed a meeting on February 14th to discuss the matter. The first unsolicited offer was for $105 billion and the second - for $121 billion. The cash-and-stock offer was raised from $70 to $82 per share. In addition, Broadcom is ready to pay Qualcomm an $8 billion breakup fee if the antitrust regulators block the deal. Qualcomm maintains its stance that this offer undervalues it but is ready to meet Broadcom for discussing the "serious deficiencies in value and certainty in its proposal." Reuters' sources unveiled that such a meeting will be held on Sunday "asking not to be identified because the meeting's details are not public."Source
