Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 goes official, will debut on Redmi Note 13 Pro

Qualcomm has unveiled the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 (SM7435-AB) 4nm mobile platform expanding its Snapdragon 7 family. The new chipset is expected to deliver improved performance, connectivity, and multimedia experiences. The Kryo CPU has a peak clock rate of 2.4GHz and is aided by the Adreno GPU which supports 10-bit 144Hz displays with up to FHD+ resolutions and 4K displays at up to 60Hz. It employs a Variable Rate Shading technology that optimizes power by prioritizing main content and reducing the resolution of background visuals for the ultimate gaming experience.
In addition, the Qualcomm Spectra 12-bit ISP delivers highly detailed photos with triple concurrent capture, with smooth zooming and parallel processing. Plus, 4K HDR video capture produces astonishing contrast and color with peak brightness and deep blacks. The dedicated Qualcomm AI Engine includes an AI-powered virtual assistant to help with daily tasks, such as setting reminders or looking up the nearest restaurant. Plus, the Qualcomm Sensing Hub is always ready to quickly scan QR codes and face unlock. Moreover, Quick Charge 4+ refuels power from 0–50% in just five minutes.
The Snapdragon X62 5G Modem-RF System offers 3GPP Release 16, with download speeds up to 2.9 Gbps with mmWave and sub-6GHz support. Qualcomm's FastConnect 6700 Mobile Connectivity System delivers fast, responsive Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless technology for improved audio reliability. The mobile platform also supports LPDDR5 RAM at up to 3200 MHz and LPDD4X RAM at up to 2133MHz. The supported storage type is UFS 4.0.
The first smartphone based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset is the Redmi Note 13 Pro which will be unveiled on September 21st in China.
