Pantech Vega Iron 2 - the first device with Snapdragon 805 SoC

The first smartphone with a Snapdragon 805 SoC by Qualcomm is already a fact. Surprising or not, this is not a raved-about flagship by some of the the most sought after and discussed brands. The smartphone arrives from the South Korea-based Pantech and bears the Vega Iron 2 moniker. The fact that there is already a device with the latest Qualcomm SoC that will be soon on the market is not very surprising as it complies with the announcement that the Snapdragon 805 will be available from the first half of 2014.As expected, its Snapdragon 805 SoC integrates a quad-core 2.5GHz Krait 450 CPU, an Adreno 420 GPU clocked at 500MHz, 2GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of internal storage. Of course there is a microSD card slot for expanding the memory. The device will support 2G, 3G as well as 4G LTe Cat. 4 and LTE-Advanced networks. It will also arrive latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS
The display of Pantech Vega Iron 2 is no less impressive than that of any other famous flagship. It features a Full HD IPS panel with 5.5-inch diagonal size and 401 ppi pixel density. The 13-megapixel rear camera provides extended photo shooting and video recording features. There is also a 3-megapixel front camera, which supports 1080p video recording an playback at 30 fps like the primary one. The smartphone arrives equipped with a non-removable 2800 mAh battery.
