Nothing Phone (3) is here with Glyph Matrix and serious upgradesNothing Phone (3) has just been announced, bringing much-wanted upgrades on all levels. For starters, it introduces the Glyph Matrix. This is the Glyph Interface that goes beyond simple lights. It is now capable of delivering functional and playful animations, combining visuals and sound for improved notifications. Relevant information from your contacts or apps will light up the display with generative visuals, ringtones, and vibrations. Each caller gets assigned to a unique combination of visuals and sound, and you can configure custom rules to personalize notifications even further. Tap the Glyph Button to switch between utilities, ambient interactions, and games, all referred to as Glyph Toys. The Glyph Matrix also presents a visual countdown when using the timer. It can also turn into a powerful torch using all 489 micro-LEDs for an instant, bright light. The module also visualizes current volume levels and displays an animation when NFC is triggered.

Nothing Phone (3) is based on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset that provides up to 36% faster CPU processing, up to 88% improved graphics, and 60% improved AI performance compared to the Nothing Phone (2). This mobile platform boasts a 3.2GHz Cortex-X4 core and seven 3GHz Cortex-A720 CPU cores. It also uses an Adreno 825 GPU along with a dedicated Qualcomm AI Engine and Hexagon NPU. Power is supplied by a 5150 mAh Si/C battery with 65W fast charging, 15W wireless charging, 7.5W reverse wired, and 5W reverse wireless charging support. The front is adorned with a 6.67-inch Flexible AMOLED display protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. It has a resolution of 1260 x 2800 px and delivers a peak local brightness of 4500 nits. The screen supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
