Samsung unveils the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+Samsung has just unveiled the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+. Both devices feature a high-end aluminium alloy frame sandwiched between two pieces of Corning Gorilla Glass 6 that's 3D curved. A set of five Aura colours that are different for the base and plus version is provided. Each arrives with the latest S Pen that arrives with an accelerometer and a gyroscope. It supports air gestures with which you can control the UI of the smartphones. Moreover, the Air Actions SDK is open to developers so they can create new applications for the S Pen capabilities.

The Galaxy Note 10 has a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution. The Galaxy Note 10+ packs a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen with a QHD+ resolution. Both units support Dynamic Tone Mapping and HDR+. The panels are Infinity-O ones with an extremely small opening in the top of the display for the front camera. The punch-hole houses a 10MP Dual Pixel camera with an f/2.2 lens and 4K video shooting at 30 fps. It also has autofocus, which is a rarity for front cameras. There's an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor as well.

The Galaxy Note 10 features a triple rear camera module that includes a 12MP Dual Pixel camera with variable aperture - f/1.5 - f/2.4 and OIS, a 16MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 12MP telephoto camera with OIS. The Galaxy Note 10+ has the same three cameras with a 3D ToF unit in addition. It is paired to a 3D Scanner app to create 3D models of real objects. Samsung has provided plenty of camera features such as Super Steady, adding background to videos and advanced video editing software - customized Adobe Premier Rush.

Both models arrive either with an Exynos 9825 chipset or Snapdragon 855 mobile platform. They are aided by a vapour chamber for imporved heat dissipation during heavy loads such as prolonged gaming. The base RAM capacity is 8GB (LPDDR4X) and that can be increased to 12GB. The built-in UFS 3.0 storage is 256GB and can be increased to 512GB. Only the Plus version has a microSD card slot for up to 1TB of storage expansion. The Galaxy Note 10 packs a 3500 mAh battery with a 25W fast charger. The Galaxy Note 10+ has a 4300 mAh battery with a 25W fast charger in the box and support for 45W fast charging. The faster charger has to be purchased separately.

Both models have USB Type-C ports and stereo speakers tuned by AKG along with the headphones included in the retail box. They also have corresponding 5G versions.

Pre-orders start today and actual sales - on August 23rd. Only three colours will be available upon launch - Aura Glow, Aura White and Aura Black. Some markets will get the Aura Pink for the base model and the Aura Blue for the Plus one. The Galaxy Note 10 costs USD 949/EUR 949. The Note 10+ costs USD 1099/EUR 1099 for the 12GB+256GB version and USD 1199/EUR 1199 for the 12GB+256GB configuration.
