Motorola Moto S50 is launched in China featuring a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. The latter houses a 2.5GHz octa-core CPU and a dual-core Mali-G615 GPU. It is paired with 12GB of quad-core LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB/512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. A 4310 mAh battery keeps the lights on supporting 68W wired and 15W wireless charging. The camera department is headed by a 50MP Sony IMX896 sensor with a 1/1.56" optical format and a 1.0 μm pixel size. The sensor is paired with an f/1.88 lens and is adjoined by a 13MP ultra-wide camera and a 10MP telephoto unit. The ultra-wide one offers a 123° FoV and a 13mm focal length equivalent. The telephoto unit provides 3x optical zoom, a 73 mm focal length equivalent, and supports OIS. A 32MP selfie camera resides in the punch hole in the top-center of the screen.
Motorola Moto S50 is built around a 6.36 pOLED display with a 2.5D curve and a 1.5K resolution of 1272 x 2670 px. It employs an LTPO backplane enabling a dynamic refresh rate up to 120Hz and DC dimming technology for eye protection. The peak brightness of the screen hits 3000 nits and it is HDR10+ certified. The panel supports 10-bit color bit depth and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. There's an in-display fingerprint sensor as well. The Moto S50 is available in three official Pantone colors - Persimmon Orange, Latte, and Huamu Blue. The rear shell of each features the Pantone logo with the corresponding color and has a faux leather finish. Moreover, the Moto S50 boasts the SGS Diamond Quality certification. It can survive high pressure, high altitude, extreme temperatures (-20°C to 60°C), drops, and other hazards. Moreover, the model is IP68-rated for being resistant to water and dust. The device is priced at CNY 2499 for the 12GB+512GB version and CNY 2199 for the 12GB+256GB variant.
