Google unveiled the Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 7, pre-orders are openGoogle has unveiled the Pixel 7 Pro and the Pixel 7. Both models sport the new Tensor G2 chip produced after Samsung's 4nm process. It retains last year's architecture with a minor increase in the clock speed. The CPU houses two Cortex-X cores, two Cortex-A76 cores, and four Cortex-A55 cores. A Mali-G710 MC10 GPU is responsible for the graphics department. It is the Tensor core that offers more improvement with a 60% increase in speed on machine learning tasks and a 20% increase in efficiency. There's also a new modem for improved connectivity. Both smartphones have stereo speakers, three microphones with noise cancellation, and run on Android 13.

The Pixel 7 Pro is built around a 6.71-inch AMOLED display with an LTPO backlight and a QHD+ resolution. The display supports VRR from 10Hz to 120Hz and is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Its HDr brightness reaches 1000 nits and the peak one - 1500 nits. An in-display fingerprint sensor is also in place. The punch hole in the top center of the screen houses the 10.8MP selfie camera with a 92.8-degree FoV. The body-wide strip on the back of the handset houses the triple camera module which is headed by a 50MP main unit with an f/1.85 lens and an 82-degree FoV. It is aided by OIS and is adjoined by a 12MP ultra-wide unit with a 125.8-degree FoV. Finally, there's the 48MP telephoto unit with 5x optical zoom. A 5000 mAh battery keeps the lights on and supports 30W fast charging, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. All this is packed in a body made of 100% of recycled aluminum and that's IP68 rated for water and dust resistance. The available colors include Obsidian, Snow, and Hazel. Pre-orders are now open and the model is priced as follows: The Pixel 7 is adorned with a smaller AMOLED display - 6.3 inches in diagonal. It has an FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The HDR brightness of this model is 1000 nits and the peak one - 1400 nits. The screen's protection also depends on a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The selfie camera is the same as the one used on the Pro version. The rear camera department is trimmed down to a 50MP main unit and a 12MP ultra-wide one. The battery has a capacity of 4355 mAh with 30W fast charging. The model is available in Lemongrass, Snow, and Obsidian colors. Just like the Pro, the vanilla model has an aluminum body with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. It can be pre-ordered now priced as follows:
