Huawei presents the Honor 20 series of smartphonesDespite facing global business issues, Huawei presented the Honor 20 series of smartphones as promised. The star of the show is Honor 20 Pro. It features a punch-hole display and a glass body. The rear panel is covered with a glass under which there are two additional layers - a colour layer and a depth layer. Huawei calls the whole structure a 3D triple mesh and uses it to create special effects when light reflects from the surface of the handset. The back panel is 3D curved on all four sides. The model is available in phantom blue and phantom black. On the front, there's a 6.26-inch All-View Display with a punch hole in the top left corner for the selfie camera. On the right frame, there's a capacitive fingerprint sensor that unlocks the handset in 0.3 seconds. It's integrated into the power button for added convenience. The volume rocker is there as well. The Honor 20 has a 6.21-inch FHD+ display and a 3750 mAh battery.

Honor 20 Pro features a pro-grade quad-camera system. It includes a 16MP super-wide camera with an f/2.2 lens, a 48MP SOny IMX586 primary shooter with an f/1.4 lens and 4-axis OIS, an 8MP telephoto shooter with an f/2.4 lens and 4-axis OIS plus a 2MP macro camera. Laser AF aids shooting. DxOMark has scored the camera of Honor 20 Pro with 111 points - the same result the OnePlus 7 Pro camera setup received. The Honor 20 camera department includes the same super-wide shooter, a 48MP Sony IMX586 main camera with an f/1.8 lens, a 2MP depth-sensing unit and a 2MP macro camera.

As long as it concerns performance, both devices are based on a Kirin 980 chipset with 4th generation ISP and GPU Turbo 3.0. The RAM is up to 8GB and the storage capacity is up to 256GB. The battery capacity of the Pro version is 4000 mAh. Honor 20 Pro with 8GB RAM and 256GB built-in memory is priced at €599 and the Honor 20 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage costs €499. Both were denoted as being "available soon".

Finally, Huawei also announced the Honor 20 Lite with a 32MP front-facing camera placed in a waterdrop notch above the display and a triple camera setup on its back that features a 24MP primary shooter, an 8MP super-wide angle snapper and a 2MP depth sensing unit.
