HMD Pulse, Pulse+, and Pulse Pro are unveiledHMD has released its first set of smartphones under the HMD brand. These are the HMD Pulse, HMD Pulse+, and the HMD Pulse Pro. For each, HMD stresses on the fact that it is easily repairable and you can even replace the screen yourself, if needed. All models are IP52-rated for being splash-resistant. The prices vary from 139 to 179 euros.

HMD Pulse has a 6.65-inch IPS display with an HD_ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, 480 nits of typical brightness, and 600 nits of maximum brightness. It has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing one. Power is supplied by a 5000 mAh battery with 10W charging support. The model is based on a Unisoc Tiger T606 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The device runs on Android 14 and supports Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and Wi-Fi 5.0. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. The available colors include pink, blue, and black.

HMD Pulse+ is available in apricot, glacier green, and midnight blue colors. It has the same display, battery, and chipset as the vanilla model. The Plus version ups the main camera to a 50MP unit while retaining the 8MP selfie snapper. It arrives with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

HMD Pulse Pro is available in glacier green, twilight purple, and black. It retains the same display, chipset, and battery but with 20W fast charging, as well as the 50MP rear camera. However, the Pro version ups the selfie game with a 50MP front-facing shooter and various software optimizations for beautification, gesture recognition, etc. This model has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in memory.

Nokia 7.1 pricing and availability

Nokia 7.1 pre-sales will start on October 5th and actual sales will commence on October 28th. The US will get the 3GB+32GB variant of the model only, priced at USD 349 and sold via Amazon, Best Buy, and B&H Photo. European markets will get the two versions of the Nokia 7.1.
