Deal: Cubot X18 Plus global pre-sale starts with a $40 discountIf you want to get a smartphone for a very attractive price now there’s an excellent opportunity to do so. Cubot and GearBest have cooperated for the launch of Cubot X18 Plus . The device is on pre-sale exclusively via GearBest and till March 12th you can get it with a $40 discount from here. It will also be followed by other promotional activities from the manufacturer. Cubot X18 Plus upgrades every aspect of its predecessor - the Cubot X18 Plus. For starters, it offers a bigger display with a higher resolution - a 5.99-inch unit with an 18:9 aspect ratio and an FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2160 pixels). It graces a compact body with an aluminium alloy frame and a polycarbonate backplate that has an electroplated gloss creating a lumia effect. It covers a 4000 mAh battery - a jump up from the 3200 mAh accumulator found on the X18. In addition, Cubot X18 Plus employs a MediaTek MT6750T chipset with a 1.5GHz octa-core CPU, instead of a MediaTek MT6737T SoC with a 1.5GHz quad-core CPU found in the previous model. The LPDDR3 RAM and storage have been increased to 4GB (clocked at 833GHz) and 64GB, respectively. Instead of using a Micro-SIM card tray like its predecessor, the X18 Plus employs a hybrid, dual-SIM card tray that can house either two Nano-SIM cards or a Nano-SIM and a microSD card. The model’s connectivity options include support for Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Display, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS, GLONASS. The Micro-USB port and 3.5 mm jack are retained from the previous model. The camera department on Cubot X18 Plus has also been upgraded. The rear module includes a 20MP primary shooter aided by a 2MP auxiliary snapper that is used only for tandem work under the bokeh/blur shooting mode. The 20MP sensor is combined with a 5-element lens with an f/2.2 aperture, dual-tone 1A LED flash. The selfie camera packs a 13MP sensor coupled with a 4-element lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a LED flash. The model features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and runs on almost stock Android 8.0 Oreo.
