Mogu M7 - one of the first officially launched devices with a MT6595 chipset

Probably not many of you have heard of the Chinese Mogu, but now you have to, as it has launched a powerful smartphone equipped with MediaTek's latest powerhouse - the octa-core MT6595 SoC. Currently, there are not many devices that feature this chipset, but those that do are real masterpieces. Take for example the Lenovo Vibe X2, the Meizu MX4, and the Zopo ZP999. The Mogu M7 is also powered by a MediaTek MT6595M chipset and at a price of $228, it will turn out to be quite a strong competition. The smartphone sports elegant design and arrives in the classic white and black colors. With a depth of 8.9 mm it is relatively thin and sports a 5.5-inch IPS OGS display with a 1080p resolution. The MediaTek MT6595M chipset includes an octa-core CPU consisting of four 2GHz Cortex-A17 cores and four 1.5GHz Cortex-A7 cores. There is also a powerful PowerVR G6200 GPU. The RAM and storage measure 2GB and 16GB, respectively. The device runs Android 4.4 KitKat and its power is supplied by a 2600 mAh battery. The set of cameras is quite good, either. There is a 16-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.0 aperture and an 8-megapixel front camera. The smartphone has one SIM card slot and supports quad-band 2G GSM and dual-band 3G WCDMA networks. It also has GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n.Source
