Gigaset presents three 4G LTE models from its ME line in Berlin

If you haven't heard of Gigaset - this is the company that acquired Siemen's mobile division. Today in Berlin it unveiled three new smartphones from its ME line, all made of an aluminum-stainless steal alloy. The three are actually one basic model with an upgraded and a downgraded variant. So let's start with the basic one - the Gigaset ME. It features a 5-inch IPS display with an FHD resolution and protection by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Its performance is based on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset with an underclocked CPU at 1.8GHz and an Adreno 430 GPU. It is aided by 3GB of RAM and the internal memory measures 32GB, which can be expanded. Among other things, the model packs a fingerprint scanner, a 16MP primary shooter and an 8MP front one, both with an f/2.0 aperture. Power is provided by a 3000 mAh battery coupled with Qualcomm's Quick Charge tech. The model is dual-SIM, supports 4G LTE networks and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Gigaset UI on top. It is available for purchase in major European markets such as the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Poland and Turkey. It is priced at USD 530. Many of the specs of the other two models are the same, so below we will mention only the differences. The Gigaset ME Pro is an upgraded variant of the basic model and has a beefy 4000 mAh battery, which is more than enough to support the 5.5-inch display. The model also features a 20-megapixel Siny IMX230 rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and is priced at USD 620. The third model is named Gigaset ME Pure and is a downgraded variant with a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset, 13MP primary camera, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory. Only the battery's capacity is increased compared to the basic model, namely - 3320 mAh. Its price is set at USD 390.
