Sony Xperia 1 VI debuts with an updated display, new telephoto camera, and a new chipsetXperia 1 VI debuted a couple of days ago featuring an updated AMOLED display with a 6.5-inch diagonal size, a resolution of 1080 x 2340 px, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Using AI remastering, it enhances everything you watch. The new display is 1.5 times brighter than the previous model. The immersive audio experience is guaranteed by the new stereo speakers, the new Premium Audio Circuit for 3.5 mm wired headphones, and innovative audio technologies.

The 24mm lens on the back of the Xperia 1 VI is equipped with a 2-layer Transistor Pixel stacked CMOS image sensor "Exmor T for mobile" - the Sony IMX888 paired with an f/1.9 lens. In addition, the new 85-170mm optical zoom lens enables bright portraits with little distortion supporting 3.5x - 7.1x continuous optical zoom. There's also the same 12MP ultra-wide unit with a Sony IMX563 sensor and autofocus. A 12MP Sony IMX663 sensor is used for the selfie camera that resides on the top frame above the display.

The model is based on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset paired with 12GB/16GB of LPDDR5X storage and 256GB/512GB of expandable UFS 4.0 storage. This is also the first Xperia smartphone with a VC cooling system with a graphite sheet. A 5000 mAh battery keeps the lights on supporting 30W fast charging and Qi wireless charging.

More than 95% of the Xperia 1 VI is made of SORPLAS - more than 85% to be exact. The front is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. In addition, the body is IP65/IP68-rated for being resistant to water and dust. The model's price starts at GBP 1299 for the 12GB+259GB variant.
