Xiaomi 15S Pro debuts in China with Xiaomi's own Xring O1 chip

Xiaomi 15S Pro was unveiled last night as a part of a huge Xiaomi presentation. Despite being a classic flagship, the most interesting detail about this new smartphone is that it debuts Xiaomi's second take on creating its own chip. This time, the powerhouse is dubbed Xring O1. Xiaomi's first chip - Surge S1, was introduced 8 years ago in 2017 in the Xiaomi Mi 5c. The Xring O1 is a 3nm system-on-chip that promises more than 3 million points on AnTuTu, meaning it should match the Snapdragon 8 Elite in performance. The CPU comprises 2x Cortex-X925, 4x Cortex-A725, 2x Cortex-A725, and 2x Cortex-A520 cores, with the top ones being clocked at 3.9GHz. A 16-core Immortalis G925 MC16 GPU handles the graphic department. The chipset is paired with 16GB of LPDDR5T RAM and 512GB/1024GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Its work is aided by a 4053 mm² cooling system. In everything else, the Xiaomi 15S Pro is identical to the Xiaomi 15 Pro.
The device features a 6.73-inch OLED display panel that uses a new M9 material, resulting in an increased brightness of up to 3200 nits at peak levels. Moreover, it has very slim bezels and a micro curve on all four sides. The LTPO backplane enables a dynamic refresh rate from 1 Hz to 120 Hz and the resolution is 1440 x 3200 px. The screen is protected by Xiaomi's Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0. Power has also been increased as the Xiaomi 15 Pro packs a 6100 mAh battery with 90W fast charging and 50W wireless charging support. The camera department is headed by the already familiar 50MP OmniVision OVH9000 sensor for the main camera. The telephoto unit is a new one using a 50MP Sony IMX858 sensor. There's also a 50MP ultra-wide lens with a Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor and a 32MP OmniVision OV32B40 selfie snapper. The model also runs on Xiaomi's HyperOS 2.0 with Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, and NFC support. The device is fitted with a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio certifications, etc. The Xiaomi 15S Pro is available in Sky Blue and Xiaomi Dragon Scale Fiber colors. It also sports an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and is priced as follows:
