Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 is launched in China with a 7-inch OLED display and an 8000 mAh batteryAdd DeviceSpecifications as a preferred source on GoogleXiaomi has introduced the Redmi Note 17 for China - a major refresh to its popular mid‑range lineup, bringing a larger OLED display, a massive battery upgrade, and a new 50MP camera system aimed at everyday photography. The device continues Redmi's formula of delivering high value at an accessible price, but this generation leans more heavily into premium hardware than before.

The Redmi Note 17 centers around a 7‑inch ultra‑large OLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2396 px, designed for immersive viewing and improved eye comfort. The unit delivers 1800 nits of peak brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi's "Qingshan Eye Protection" technology is built in, reducing visual fatigue during long sessions of reading, gaming, or streaming. Despite the larger display, the phone maintains a slim profile and comes in three colors: Black, Light Aqua, and Star Purple.

The Redmi Note 17 also carries an 8000 mAh "Golden Sand River" high‑capacity battery, offering significantly extended endurance compared to previous generations. It supports 45W wired fast charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging, allowing the phone to act as a power bank for other devices. Xiaomi notes that actual charging performance may vary depending on the environment and usage conditions.

On the back, the device features a 50MP main camera designed for clear, high‑resolution shots in everyday scenarios. It uses a 5-element lens with an f/1.8 aperture and is capable of recording FHD videos at 30 fps. The selfie department is handled by an 8MP selfie snapper with an f/2.0 aperture.

The Redmi Note 17 is based on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 mobile platform, sporting a 2.3GHz octa-core CPU. Users may choose from 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. Pricing is as follows: CNY 1299 for the 6GB+128GB option, CNY 1399 for the 8GB+128GB variant, and CNY 1599 for the 8GB+256GB version.
