Wiko unveiled two 4G smartphones from its Highway series

Wiko is a France-based smartphone manufacturer that has its fair share of fans. Actually it does make some pretty good devices and today it revealed two new smartphones from its Highway series. Both provide 4G LTE Cat. 4 connectivity and run Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The Wiko Highway Star 4G sports some pretty decent specifications. It features a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 720p resolution and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. Under the hood is placed an octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU clocked at 1.5GHz. The RAM and storage are 2GB and 16GB, respectively. The list of specs continues with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front shooter. The battery's capacity measures 2450 mAh. All this is packed in a 6.6mm-thin aluminium body that weighs 123 grams.
The Wiko Highway Pure 4G is even thinner and lighter. With a waistline of 5.1 mm, it is even thinner than the newly announced Gionee Elife S7. The body weight of 91 grams is no less impressive. The rest of the specifications are typical for a classic mid-range smartphone. There is a 4.8-inch AMOLED display with a 720p resolution as well as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC chipset that features a 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU operating with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. The set of cameras packs an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter. The capacity of the battery is 2000 mAh. No information about pricing and availability of both smartphones is revealed as of yet.
