LG's next flagship device (probably the V30) will have an OLED FullVision displayLG's official press release states that "the next flagship smartphone from LG ... will be the first ever device to feature a plastic OLED FullVision display". Probably this is a hint at the upcoming LG V30, which will be officially announced on August 31st. After the LG G Flex 2, this is the first OLED smartphone of the manufacturer and with it, the company will transfer its expertise from the TV industry to the mobile one. OLED panels are thin, provide great visuals and are excellent for VR applications. The display of the next LG flagship will have a 6-inch diagonal while retaining a body that's smaller than that of the LG V20. Compared to this model, the upper and lower bezels are reduced by 20% and 50%, respectively. The panel has a QHD+ resolution (1440 x 2880 pixels) and implements LG's image algorithms that allow it cover 148% of the sRGB colour space and 109% of the DCI-P3 gamut. The operational response time is tens of times faster than that of LCD, which makes it perfect for action movies and VR. The display supports HDR10 so you will be able to watch compatible movies and videos for a whole new visual experience. The P-OLED panel will allow the edges of the display to be curved for better ergonomics. Besides being much stronger than the glass base, it is also protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Finally, by using advanced encapsulation and pixel-scanning technology, LG has eliminated the burn-in problem typical for OLED technology in the past.Source
