Add DeviceSpecifications as a preferred source on GoogleMotorola unveiled the Moto G Stylus 2026 - a device built around a far more capable active pen and a suite of AI‑powered tools designed to elevate productivity, creativity, and everyday convenience.
At the center of the experience is a newly engineered active stylus that responds to both tilt and pressure in supported apps, giving users a more natural, pen‑on‑paper feel whether they're sketching, shading, annotating, or navigating the interface. Motorola has tightly integrated the stylus into the software, allowing handwritten notes, sketches, and ideas to live in a unified Notes app that doubles as a creative hub. Features like Sketch to Image can transform rough drawings into polished visuals using AI, while Handwriting Calculator interprets equations instantly without forcing users to switch apps.
The stylus also unlocks system‑wide shortcuts. Quick Clip lets users highlight text and send it directly to Notes, Drag & Drop enables easy movement of images between apps, and Hover to Magnify offers a close‑up preview of text. A long‑press of the stylus button activates Circle to Search with Google, allowing users to circle anything on screen and get immediate results. Despite its expanded capabilities, the stylus promises up to 100 hours of standby time, nearly four hours of writing, and a full recharge in just 15 minutes. The pen itself is protected with IP68 and IP69 ratings, making it as durable as the phone it accompanies.
Photography also gets a major upgrade. The Moto G Stylus 2026 features a 50MP Ultra Pixel main camera powered by Sony's LYTIA 700C sensor, complete with OIS and all‑pixel technology for sharper, brighter images in challenging lighting. A 13MP Ultrawide & Macro Vision camera expands creative possibilities, while a 32MP front camera automatically switches to group mode when more faces enter the frame. The device records 4K video across all lenses, supported by enhanced stabilization for smoother footage. Motorola's AI imaging suite further refines results with tools like Photo Enhancement Engine, Signature Style scene optimization, Super Zoom, Action Shot, and multi‑focal‑length Portrait Mode.
The visuals extend to the display, where a 6.7‑inch Extreme AMOLED panel delivers 1.5K Super HD resolution and up to 5000 nits of peak brightness. High Brightness Mode boosts outdoor visibility to 1400 nits, and Display Color Boost adjusts color and contrast based on ambient conditions. A 120Hz refresh rate keeps interactions fluid, and Water Touch technology ensures responsiveness even with wet hands.
Durability is another major focus. The phone carries SGS‑tested IP68 and IP69 protection along with military‑grade toughness, guarding against drops from nearly five feet, extreme temperatures, submersion in fresh water, and high‑pressure spray. Despite its rugged credentials, the device maintains a refined aesthetic with a leather‑inspired finish and a twill‑textured grip, offered in Pantone‑curated Coal Smoke and Lavender Mist.
Powering the device is a 5200 mAh battery capable of delivering up to 44 hours of use. When it's time to recharge, users can rely on 68W TurboPower fast charging or 15W wireless charging. Motorola says the battery is engineered for longevity, retaining over 80% of its health after 1600 charging cycles, supported by built‑in Battery Care features. Processing power is based on the 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Mobile Platform with a 2.4GHz octa-core CPU paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage.
On the software side, the Moto G Stylus 2026 launches with Android 16 and integrates Google Gemini for AI‑assisted writing, planning, and everyday tasks. Google Photos adds AI‑powered editing tools, while Motorola's Hello UX allows deep customization of colors, fonts, and gestures. Smart Connect enables seamless multi‑device workflows, from file sharing to screen mirroring across PCs, tablets, TVs, and monitors. Security is centralized in the Moto Secure app, powered by ThinkShield, giving users a straightforward way to manage privacy and protection features.
