The company has unveiled the Titan 2 Elite and the Titan 2 Elite Pro, two compact 5G smartphones built around a feature many users thought they'd lost forever: a full physical QWERTY keyboard.
The new models arrive through a Kickstarter campaign that positions them as modern tools for people who value precision typing, rugged construction, and portability. Unihertz has long cultivated a niche audience of enthusiasts who prefer small, durable devices, and the Titan 2 Elite series appears to be its most ambitious attempt yet to bring that philosophy into the mainstream.
Both phones share the same core identity. They are compact, pocket‑friendly, and designed to be used comfortably with one hand. Their physical QWERTY keyboards evoke the era of business‑focused smartphones, but the rest of the hardware is unmistakably modern. You can swipe across the keyboard surface to scroll and browse. Since it is touch-sensitive, it may also serve as a cursor positioning assistant. Mouse Mode is available for an enhanced touchpad experience. Universal keyboard shortcuts can be enabled for a smoother text editing workflow. Finally, the keyboard is backlit and supports many languages.
The Titan 2 Elite and the Titan 2 Elite Pro feature a 4.03-inch AMOLED display with a 1080 x 1200 px resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1600 nits of peak brightness. Both arrive with a 50MP main shooter, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 32MP selfie snapper. The Pro variant is to offer OIS for the main camera - a feature that currently undergoes further testing and finalization.
The two devices support 5G networks with hybrid, dual Nano-SIM card trays and eSIM enabled. You can use either two Nano SIM cards, a Nano-SIM card with a microSD card of up to 2TB, or a Nano-SIM and an eSIM. Both models run on Android 16, with Unihertz promising 5 years of OS updates to Android 20. A red programmable button on the side enables instant shortcuts to the AI assistant, camera, flashlight, or any other convenient feature or app.
Power is supplied by a 4050 mAh ATL battery with a Si/C anode promising 20% higher energy density and smarter power management. 33W fast charging is supported. The Titan 2 Elite and its Pro sibling arrive in black and orange color options with a premium metal frame made of aerospace-grade aluminum. Furthermore, each supports NFC, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 6.0 and has an FM radio, an IR blaster, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a toolbox with useful utilities.
Where the two models diverge is in performance. The Titan 2 Elite is based on the Dimensity 7400 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. This model will be shipped to backers in June this year. The Titan 2 Elite Pro depends on the Dimensity 8400 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
