Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 is official with a 6.39" AMOLED FHD+ display, two front and two rear camerasLei Jun took the stage today on the grounds of the Forbidden City to introduce the Mi MIX 3. The handset builds upon the Mi MIX series design language by adding the sliding function in order to improve the all-front screen design. The sliding solution depends on magnetic power and decompression and can be used 300000 times. It is much better than the conservative solution based on simple springs. It can be relieved and can be decompressed. The model features a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2340 pixels) with 103.8% coverage of the NTSC colour space reference and 600 nits of brightness. The camera department includes two front and two rear shooters. On the back, there's a 12MP Sony IMX363 sensor with an f/1.8 lens and dual pixel. It is aided by a 12MP Samsung S5K3M3+ sensor with an f/2.4 lens. The main rear camera can shoot slow-motion videos at 960 fps. It also supports handheld super night scene, pick up the phone to shoot, no tripod needed. The main front camera features a 24MP Sony IMX576 sensor aided by a 2MP auxiliary snapper. It supports real-time video background blur. The Mi MIX 3 scores a total 103 score by DxOMark with 108 points for photo and 3 points for video. Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 is based on a Snapdragon 845 chipset with up to 10GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There's a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The body is made of ceramic as the previous Mi MIX devices. It is available in black, sapphire blue and emeragl green/jade colours. Power is supplied by a 3200 mAh battery. It is expected that the Mi MIX 3 5G version is expected to be listed in Q1 of 2019. The 6GB+128GB version of the model is priced at CNY 3299 (USD 475). The 8GB+128GB variant costs CNY 3599 (USD 518) and the 8GB+256GB configuration can be obtained for CNY 3999 (USD 576). Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 Palace Museum Edition has been introduced at the end. It includes a special art works box and a logo of the lion symbolizing the Forbidden City and the traditions it embodies. It is this version that has 10GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
