Xiaomi's Black Shark is official with a Snapdragon 845 SoC, 5.99" FHD+ display, dual rear camerasToday Xiaomi has announced the Black Shark - a gaming smartphone built around a Snapdragon 845 mobile platform. It features 6/8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128GB of UFS 2.1 memory. The display of this model has a 5.99-inch in-cell IPS display with an FHD+ resolution, 1500:1 static contrast ratio, 550 nits peak brightness and 97% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space. Power is supplied by a 4000 mAh battery. The device houses a multi-layer cooling kit including a water cooling system to ensure stability and smooth gameplay even if you run the heaviest 3D application or game. The camera department features a 20MP front-facing snapper with a 5.5-element lens and an f/2.2 aperture. On the back, there are two rear shooters - a 20MP and a 12MP one. Both have 6-element lenses and f/1.75 apertures. There's one bottom-firing speaker but coupled with the earpiece it provides a Biso stereo sound. The microphone is creating with gaming in mind as it supports radio chats during gaming and voice calls without interrupting the gameplay. Finally, the 190-gramme body has an X-shape for improved handling experience. Its frame serves as an antenna as well. Black Shark is available in black with bright green accent lines and in grey. The 6GB+64GB version costs CNY 2999 (USD 477) and the 8GB+128GB variant is priced at CNY 3499 (USD 557). Currently, this smartphone is available only in China via JD.
