LG V40 ThinQ goes official with two front and three rear cameras, 6.4" QHD+ OLED displayLG has announced the LG V40 ThinQ as promised. The new handset continues the design paradigm of the V series while improving the specs and features at all levels. However, the most prominent and advertised feature is the total of five cameras available on the handset. That means, there are two front shooters and three rear ones. The front pair includes an 8MP snapper with a standard 80° lens, an f/1.9 aperture and a 5MP camera with a wide 90° lens with an f/2.2 aperture. The trio on the back includes a 16MP main shooter with a super-wide 107° lens with an f/1.9 aperture, a 12MP standard camera with an 78° lens and an f/1.5 aperture plus a 12MP telephoto shooter with a 45° lens and an f/2.4 aperture. The zoom is 2x optical zoom via the telephoto camera or 3.2x via the wide-angle lens. The camera department offers Dual PDAF, advanced HDR, Cine Shot, 3D Light Effect, Makeup Pro, Custom Backdrop, My Avatar, AR Emoji, and a number of AI features such as AI Composition, AI Auto White Balance, AI Shutter, etc. LG V40 ThinQ packs an improved 6.4-inch FullVision OLED display with slimmer bezels than the previous generations. It has a QHD+ resolution (1440 x 3120) and supports HDR10. In terms of audio, the device offers a boombox speaker, 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, DTS:X 3D Surround Sound, Super Far Field Voice Recognition. In addition, the model is based on a Snapdragon 845 mobile platform coupled with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The UFS 2.1 internal memory arrives in two variants - 64GB and 128GB. Either way, it can be expanded with up to 2TB. The model supports LTE-A with 4 band CA, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0 BLE, NFC, USB Type-C 2.0 (3.1 compatible). Power is supplied by a 3300 mAh battery with Quick CHarge 3.0 support (QC 4 compatible). All this is packed in a 7.7 mm thin body that weighs 169 g. It is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance and is compliant with the MIL-STD -810G standard for drop and shock resistance.
