ZTE will launch a 5G smartphone in the first half of 2019, new Axon and Blade models in towIn April 2018, ZTE successfully opened the first 5G phone based on 3GPP R15 standard in Guangzhou. At the end of October 2018, ZTE's mobile phone and data terminal dialled a telephone signal at the Shanghai R&D Center to formally complete the 5G call of the simulation system. In November, ZTE mobile phones realized 5G calls, 5G Internet access, and 5G WeChat, which means that 5G networks passed the application scenario test. At the end of December 2018, ZTE announced that it will become the first communications company in the world to have both 5G networks and 5G mobile phones. In addition, ZTE has announced on its Weibo page that it will launch a 5G smartphone in the first half of 2019. It also has plans for a new Axon device and new Blade models to be released this year.
