AGM PAD T1 - an ultra-thin affordable tablet with a big Widevine L1-certified display and stereo speakersAGM PAD T1 is the latest tablet by the brand offering a slim form factor with a featherweight design. The slate is only 7.35 mm thick and features a unibody design with a polycarbonate rear shell in classic gray. Its silky-smooth finish only adds up to overall minimalistic flair. Tipping the scales at 480 grams, it is easily portable.

The tablet arrives with a convenient book cover case in matching color. It can be used as a kickstand for added convenience. The rest of the accessories accompanying the device include a 10W charger, a USB Type-C cable, a SIM tray pin, and paperwork. All this is packaged in a flat rectangular box in a warm yellow color with a photo of the device on the top adjoined by the brand and model names. AGM PAD T1 is built around a 10.95-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 px. With Widevine L1 certification, you can enjoy high-quality visuals on various platforms such as Netflix, HBO, Amazon Prime, and others. The native refresh rate of the screen is 60 Hz and the pixel density is 207 ppi. If you hold the slate portrait-wise, the top bezel is the place for the 5MP selfie camera capable of HD video recording at 30 fps and supporting face unlock. The bezels are equally thick on all four sides of the screen. The frame protrudes a millimeter from the glass surface providing some protection for the display. The rear shell retains the overall minimalistic vibe. The top left corner houses the camera island. It is a square module with rounded corners. The 13MP rear camera is positioned in the top left corner and protrudes from the module's surface. The single LED flash is positioned to its right. There are signs "Camera" and 13MP" below these two elements. The AGM Mobile logo is vertically aligned in the bottom left corner of the rear shell, followed by the usual CE mark. The top frame of the device is the home of the Power button. This part of the frame is separate from the overall unibody rear shell and has a slightly different shade of gray. The top left corner of the frame is where you will find the 3.5 mm headphone jack. The two stereo speakers and the USB Type-C 2.0 port are positioned on the bottom frame - that's when you hold the tablet in portrait mode. A hybrid, dual Nano-SIM card tray is located on the left frame. The Volume rocker is on the right frame. Processing power is based on the Unisoc Tiger T606 chipset. Built on TSMC's 12nm production node and following the ARMv8.2-A architecture, this mobile platform houses an octa-core CPU that comprises two Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 1.6GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.6GHz as well. The graphics department is managed by a single-core Mali-G57 MP1 GPU clocked at 650MHz. The unit we received scored 239,703 points on AnTuTu 10. The tablet arrives with 4GB of dual-channel LPDDR4X RAM clocked at 1600 MHz. It can be virtually expanded with up to 4GB. There are 128GB of built-in eMMC 5.1 storage. It can be expanded via a microSD card. A 7000 mAh battery powers the AGM PAD T1. The device runs on stock Android 14 out-of-the-box and the UI reflects the fact that this is a tablet and switches to an appropriate view whenever needed - for example, Google Discover lists the news in two columns, the Settings menus are listed on the left side of the screen at all times with further options expanding on the right, etc. The Home Settings from the Customization Picker are quite basic but they do contain an option to switch from an App Drawer view to a non-App-Drawer view. The Task Manager is standard with the "Clear all" button being positioned at the far left of the app list. The pre-installed apps include the usual Phone, Contacts, Messages, Files, Calculator, Sound Recorder, FM Radio, and all the standard Google apps. AGM PAD T1 supports Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, and Cast Display. The model also works with GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, and Galileo. The supported mobile network bands include 2G (B2, B3, B5, B8), 3G (B1, B2, B4, B5, B8), 4G LTE-FDD (B1, B2, B3, B5, B7, B8, B20, B26, B28), and 4G LTE-TDD (B34, B38, B39, B40, B41). The EU body SAR is 1.696 W/kg. Being a tablet, the PAD T1 lacks a receiver. All calls are handled via the dual stereo speakers. In conclusion, with its highly portable form factor, the AGM PAD T1 is equally suitable for home entertainment and for finishing quick tasks on the go.
