The Unihertz 8849 Tank Pad is based on a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 (MT6896Z) chipset using a 4nm‑class chip production process for best-in-class power efficiency for 5G mobile devices. It houses an octa-core CPU with a single 3.1GHz Cortex-A78 core, three 3GHz Cortex-A78 cores, and four power-efficient 2GHz Cortex-A55 cores. A sexta-core Mali-G610 GPU clocked at 950 MHz manages the graphics department. There are 16GB of quad-channel LPDDR5 RAM clocked at 3200 MHz. You can virtually expand the RAM with up to 16GB and achieve 32GB of RAM. The built-in UFS 3.1 storage measures 512GB and can be expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot. Of those 512GB, 496GB are available to the user. Our review unit scored 916633 points on AnTuTu 10, which is the highest AnTuTu 10 result we've got from a device based on the same chipset. And we've tested quite a few including the Cubot KingKong X Pro, Cubot Star 2, Cubot Max 5, Unihertz Tank 3S, Unihertz Tank 3 Pro, and the Unihertz Tank 3S. The single-core and multi-core Geekbench 6 results are also the highest compared to the other Dimensity 8200-based devices we've tested. The throttling test also unveils the device keeps its cool and throttles only to 80%.
