Huawei unveils the Honor V20 with a 48MP Sony IMX586 main shooter, 3D ToF camera and Infinity O displayHuawei has just announced the Honor V20 which combines a metal frame and a glass front and back. The rear glass panel is 3D curved and has a V-shaped texture for a more alluring light reflection. On the front, the Infinity O display has a small opening in the top left corner for the 25MP front-facing camera with AI and an f/2.0 lens. The screen has a 6.4-inch IPS panel with a resolution fo 1080 x 2310 pixels. As reported earlier, the model is based on a Kirin 980 chipset paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage. No option of storage expansion. The chipset features the GPU Turbo and Link Turbo for enhanced GPU and connectivity experience, respectively. Moreover, the Honor V20 features a liquid cooling system which offers a wide heat dissipation for a number of components such as the CPU, camera, and charging IC. Actually, the model has gained a 5-star rating from Tell Labs - a well-known certification body for testing mobile devices' performance in gaming, screen technology, performance, endurance and heat dissipation. The handset is powered by a 4000 mAh battery with a 4.5V/5A fast charger. It runs on MagicUI2.0.1 based on Android 9 Pie including the YOYO AI smart assistant that was announced for the first with the Honor Magic 2 in November.

The rear camera department includes a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary shooter and a 3D ToF stereo lens. The first camera supports AI HDR, AIS for night shooting, slow-motion videos at 960 fps, and 4-into-1 pixel binding technology. The 3D ToF camera can be used for Augmented Reality and supports depth measurement, bone recognition, motion capture, 3D body shaping and 3D somatosensory games on the Honor V20. Together with the YOYO assistant, it allows you to perform real-time dance movements and create 3D characters that can mimic your actions. The model also supports dual-band GPS technology, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5, NFC. The 6GB+64GB version costs CNY 2999 (USD 435). The 8GB+128GB variant is priced at CNY 3499 (USD 505). The available colours include Magic Night Black, Charm Blue Sear and Charm Red. Pre-orders start tomorrow. Huawei has also partnered with the Italian luxury brand MOSCHINO to offer the customized Phantom Blue and Phantom Red editions of the Honor V20 MOSCHINO edition. It comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage and costs CNY 3999 (USD 579). The international version of the Honor V20 dubbed Honor View 20 will be unveiled on January 22 in Paris, France.
