Sonim XP8 is the latest smartphone from Sonim which specializes in manufacturing ruggedized mobile devices. This model happens to be "ultra-rugged" as it features a military-rated design (Military 810G standard) with a 5-inch FHD touchscreen with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 that is puncture-resistant and can be easily used with gloves and wet hands. The device is equipped with a dedicated OneTouch PTT for quick emergency communication, plus the ability to power remote speaker microphones without additional batteries. The body is waterproof, dustproof, drop and impact-resistant to 6.5 ft drops onto concrete from any angle and covers the Non-Incendive Class I, II, III, Div 2 ensuring it will survive in all extreme environments. It is fully operational in temperatures from -4° F to 131° F. As long as it concerns speaker loudness, which might be critical in various extreme situations, Sonim XP8 employs Loud and Clear Audio with dual front-facing loudspeakers (output 100dB+), and amplify sound with mission-critical audio accessories that support both traditional and EPTT. There are three noise-cancellation microphones on board as well. The device is powered by a 4900 mAh battery and is based on a Snapdragon 630 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
