Realme 16 5G debuts with a big battery and durable, yet elegant design

Add DeviceSpecifications as a preferred source on GoogleRealme has expanded its mid‑range lineup with the launch of the Realme 16 5G, a device built around portrait photography, long battery life, and a slim, durable design. The phone arrives with a refreshed aesthetic Realme calls "Air Design," combining a lightweight 183‑gram build with IP68 and IP69K protection.
At the core of the Realme 16 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset paired with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, expandable via microSD. It runs Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0 and features a 6.57‑inch AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2372 resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 2160 Hz PWM dimming, and peak brightness reaching 4200 nits, ensuring strong outdoor visibility and smooth interaction.
The rear camera system is led by a 50MP main shooter with a 5-element lens, with an f/1.8 aperture. It is supported by a 2MP depth sensor and a small circular glass that helps you position yourself in case you want to snap selfies with the rear camera. The front unit also delivers a 50MP resolution. Realme emphasizes enhanced portrait rendering through its LumaColor engine and a suite of AI‑powered editing tools, including AI StyleMe, AI LightMe, and Instant Clip for quick vlog creation.
Battery endurance is another highlight. The device carries a 7000 mAh Titan battery engineered for long‑term durability, with Realme claiming up to 1600 charge cycles while retaining at least 80 percent capacity. It supports 6 W fast charging and includes bypass charging to reduce heat during gaming or intensive use. Despite the large battery, the phone maintains an 8.1 mm profile, aided by an internal graphite‑based cell structure and a 6050 mm² VC cooling system.
Additional features include stereo speakers, an in‑display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, NFC support, an IR blaster, and USB‑C connectivity. The Realme 16 5G is offered in White and Black finishes.
