Nothing phone (1) has been officially presented to the public, prices start at €469Nothing has created quite a hype for its first smartphone - the phone (1). After a private presentation a month ago that showcased the design, today the model has been fully unveiled. It runs on Nothing OS (1) based on Android 12 with the promise of three years of Android updates, four years of security patches every couple of months, and no bloatware. The body is available in black and white colors. The frame is made of recycled aluminum, while the back is transparent with a unique mechanical design featuring over 400 components. Key spots are highlighted by "Glyph interface" LEDs and the effect is more visible on the black version, obviously. However, they have a more practical function. The LEDs light up whenever you use the camera it can serve as a gentle light for illuminating close-up objects. When you charge the smartphone or reverse charge another device, one of the LED elements serves as a progress indicator. They also sync with the ringtones. Over 50% of the phone's plastic components are made with bio-based or post-consumer recycled materials - an industry-leading percentage. The device is also IP53 rated for being protected against water splashes.

The front of the Nothing phone (1) is adorned with a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution, 10-bit color bit depth, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1200 nits of peak brightness. The bezels are equally thin on all four sides and the unit is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. There's a punch hole in the top-left corner of the screen for the 16MP Sony IMX471 selfie camera. On the back, there's a dual-camera setup comprising a 50MP Sony IMX766 main shooter with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS as well as a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra-wide unit with an f/2.2 aperture and a 114-degree FoV.

The Nothing phone (1) is based on a Snapdragon 778G+ mobile platform with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. Power is supplied by a 4500 mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging. There isn't a charger in the box. There's a 45W charger sold separately for EUR 35 / GBP 35. The smartphone itself will be available on July 16 at 10 AM in Covent Garden, London via a Nothing pop-up kiosk. Two days later, there will be a limited supply for partner retailers, and the official sales will commence on July 21 via Nothing's website and retailers. The Nothing phone (1) is priced as follows:
