Motorola launches the Moto G17 Power and the Moto G17 in EMEA

Announced today for select EMEA markets, the new models focus on camera quality, long‑lasting battery life, and immersive entertainment features, all wrapped in a refreshed, premium design.
At the center of both phones is a camera system built to elevate everyday photography. Motorola introduces the highest‑resolution front camera ever in a Moto G, pairing it with a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 main sensor - a first for the segment. The setup is designed to capture crisp detail in bright daylight, low‑light environments, and everything in between. A 5MP ultra‑wide lens expands the field of view for landscapes and group shots, while the 32MP selfie camera delivers four times the resolution of the previous generation. Smart imaging features such as ambient light sensing, flicker reduction, and Google Photos' AI‑powered editing tools help users refine their shots with professional polish.
Under the hood, the Moto G17 Power and Moto G17 run on the MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme octa‑core processor, offering the speed needed for editing, streaming, and multitasking. With configurations reaching up to 24GB of RAM and ample storage options, the devices are built to handle demanding workflows without slowing down.
Battery life remains a defining feature of the Moto G family, and the new models continue that tradition. The Moto G17 Power houses a 6000 mAh battery, while the Moto G17 includes a 5200 mAh unit - both engineered to last from morning to night. TurboPower charging provides hours of use after just minutes plugged in, and Motorola says the batteries are designed to retain most of their original capacity even after years of daily charging.
Entertainment gets a boost with a Full HD+ display capable of maintaining clarity in bright sunlight, thanks to high brightness mode. Audio performance is enhanced with stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, and Motorola's Volume Boost technology, which delivers up to 200% more powerful sound for a more cinematic experience.
Design also plays a central role in the new lineup. Both devices feature a soft, leather‑inspired finish paired with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for added durability. Motorola is offering the phones in a selection of Pantone‑curated colors - Evening Blue, Alaskan Blue, Tarmac, and Bordeaux - giving users a chance to match their device to their personal style.
On the software side, Motorola continues to integrate features that simplify daily use. Hello UX, Moto Secure, and intuitive gestures offer customization and enhanced privacy tools. The phones also support Google's Chat with Gemini for on‑device assistance, enabling users to brainstorm ideas, draft messages, or plan events through voice, text, or camera input. Circle to Search adds another layer of convenience, allowing users to look up anything on screen with a simple gesture.
The Moto G17 Power and Moto G17 are available starting today in select EMEA markets. In Germany, the Moto G17 Power costs EUR 230 and the Moto G17 is priced at EUR 200.
