[UPDATED] The Pixel Slate tablet is official based on Chrome OSPrior to announcing the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, Google also unveiled its second tablet - the Pixel Slate, which is based on Chrome OS. It uses a faster LCD tech that's more efficient than traditional LCD. It also has two front stereo speakers, an 8MP front and an 8M rear camera. The device arrives with a detachable keyboard that Google promises to be quiet. It can also serve as a cover. The table is compatible with Google's Pixelbook Pen. It will go on sale by the end of the year priced at USD 599. The keyboard is an optional accessory priced at USD 199 and the pen costs USD 99. More specific specs will be unveiled a bit later.

UPDATE The Pixel Slate features a 12.3-inch Molecular Display and dual front stereo speakers. The power button functions as a fingerprint reader, too. There are an 8MP front and an 8MP rear camera. There are four flavours in terms of processing power provided by the 8th Gen Intel Core m3, i5 or i7 Processor, or an Intel Celeron Processor. The RAM can be 4GB, 8GB, or 16GB, while the storage varies from 32GB to 256GB. The Slate is only 7 mm thin. Its pricing is as follows: Intel Celeron+4GB+32GB starts from USD 599 (there's an 8GB+64GB variant as well); 8th Gen Intel Core m3+8GB+64GB starts from USD 799; 8th Gen Intel Core i5+8GB+128GB starts from USD 999; 8th Gen Intel Core i7+16GB+256GB starts from USD 1599.
