Display

The AGM H6 has a 6.56-inch in-cell IPS screen with an HD+ resolution (720 x 1612 pixels) and a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz. The protective glass is not specified and the device arrives with a pre-applied soft screen protector. The display settings are quite standard allowing you to toggle on/off auto-brightness, dark theme, night light, auto-rotation of the screen, and the lift-to-wake function. There's also a toggle for backlight power saving, which can be quite handy. You can also manually set the brightness level, screen timeout, font, and display size, choose lock screen content, and a screen saver. There's a "Colors & contrast" sub-menu that allows you to choose from several contrast and color pre-sets. Finally, there's the video display enhancement feature. when turned on, it improves the video quality and delivers brighter and more vivid colors.

Two separate black and white frames

Our usual measurements of the white and black luminance, static contrast ratio, and color temperature of the display are published below. If you follow our smartphone reviews, you already know that for a more realistic result, we make two different measurements - on a single frame that displays 50% white and 50% black and on two separate frames displaying a fully white and a fully black screen.

On the display of our review unit, we measured a maximum brightness of 391.33 nits. This result is achieved when measuring the white luminance on a 100% white screen. When measuring it on a single frame that shows 50% white and 50% black, the maximum brightness is 367.324 cd/m2. The two values do not differ strongly and with very similar values for the black luminance, the two types of measurements yield a contrast ratio, that's also close - ~1700:1 from the two separate frames and ~1800 from the 50-50% measurement. The temperature of the white point slightly exceeds 8200-8300 K.

Our brightness uniformity measurement shows that the display is not uniformly bright but the differences between the various tiers are not that big. The top one-third has an average brightness of 342 cd/m2. The mid-one-third is the brightest with an average brightness of 386 cd/m2. The bottom one-third is very close to the middle tier with an average of 372 cd/m2. The temperature of the white point is in the 7900 - 8200 K range.
The CIE diagram shows that the sRGB color space coverage gravitates around 100% with deviations in the red, green, yellow, and orange hues. The green, yellow, and orange hues will look punchier while the red and pink ones will look a bit more subtle. The display panel has a traditional vertical striped RGB subpixel arrangement.
