Ulefone Armor 12 Review
You can buy an Ulefone Armor 12 at promotional prices from:

Primary camera

The Ulefone Armor 12 is equipped with four rear cameras. The main one combines a 48MP Samsung S5KGM2 sensor with a 6-element lens that has a 4.71 mm focal length, 78° FoV, and an f/2.0 aperture. This sensor has a 1/2" optical format and 0.8 μm pixels. The main camera snaps 48MP photos and shoots 2K videos at 30 fps. Hardware reporting apps mention support for the OmniVision OV48B sensor. The second rear camera is an ultra-wide-angle unit with an 8MP Samsung S5K4H7 sensor. Again, hardware-reporting apps mention support for the OmniVision OV8856 and GalaxyCore GC8034 sensors. This camera has a 120° FoV and an f/2.2 aperture. It does not support autofocus.

Finally, the module is complemented by a 2MP OmniVision OV02B macro lens without autofocus and a 2MP GalaxyCore GC02M2 depth-sensing unit. Within the camera module, the cameras are located as follows. The left column of three cameras: the main shooter is on top, followed by the ultra-wide in the middle, and the macro camera at the bottom. To their left, the depth-sensing lens is positioned below the dual-tone LED flash unit.

Secondary camera

The front-facing camera of the Ulefone Armor 12 uses a 16MP Sony IMX481 sensor with a 5-element lens and an f/2.2 aperture. This sensor has 1.0 µm pixels and a 1/3.09" optical format. The camera takes photos with a resolution of 4608 x 3456 pixels and shoots 1080p videos at 30 fps.

Camera App

The Camera app has a design and layout that are already used on former Ulefone Armor models. A big circular shutter button is at the bottom's center. To its left, there's the shortcut to the list of photos and videos, which can be opened with the Photos app by default. To the right of the shutter button, there's the camera switch. The available shooting modes are listed horizontally above the three buttons. The default one is Photo and with it, you can snap 48MP photos. This mode's options include flash and HDR settings, filters, AI for scene recognition, and settings for the picture size, location info, watermark, gridlines, self-timer, ZDS, etc. There's also an icon aligned with the right frame, which allows you to adjust the zoom in and out of the camera. Of course, the default setting is at 1.0x. It can go up to 4.0x, which is a digital zoom. However, if you go below 1.0x, the smartphone switches from the main camera to the ultra-wide one. Anything between 0.6x and 0.9x uses the ultra-wide camera.
The second shooting mode is Video and with it, you can record 2K videos at 30 fps. For Video you can only adjust the LED flash and zoom-in level, you can't zoom out below 1.0x. The mode's settings include video quality, microphone, gridlines, anti-flicker, muting, and volume key features. The Night Mode has the same settings as the Photo mode without continuous shooting. No flash available, of course. The Pro mode allows you to adjust the flash, add filters, and use the same settings without continuous shootings. This mode is for manual adjustment of the white balance, ISO, exposure, and shutter speed. The Macro shooting mode switches to the macro camera. With it, you can zoom to 4.0x, add filters, use the dual-LED flash. The macro settings are also the same, excluding continuous shooting. Under "More", you will see UHD mode, which interpolates the regular photos to 108MP ones, Portrait shooting, which engages the depth-sensing rear camera, Gif, Panorama, Slow motion and Time-lapse videos, QR code scanning. The Portrait mode allows you to add filters and adjust the aperture level (level of background blurring).
With the front camera, you can only shoot photos, videos, and portraits. The other shooting modes simply re-switch to the rear camera. The Photo mode allows you to snap 16MP photos, use the screen as a flash, and add filters. The front camera settings also include touch shooting and mirror camera. The Video mode lets you record FHD videos at 30 fps. The Portrait mode allows you to adjust the aperture level, add beautification filters, additional filters, and use the screen as a flash. There's also a 4.0x digital zoom option for all three modes. The images can be opened and edited with the Photos app by default. Among all other features, it also has Google Lens integrated. This app helps you snap a photo of an object and look on the internet in order to recognize it. Or you can simply point at a text and use the app for on-image translation to a language of your choice.
