Deal: LeEco Le Pro 3 Elite X722 with 4GB RAM 32GB ROM for $150The unbeatable price to quality ratio of LeEco smartphones makes them a preferred choice by budget-conscious users who want to maximize the benefits from the money they invest in a smartphone. Le Pro 3 Elite X722 is one of the latest best sellers of the company and there's no wonder why. You can't find a $150 smartphone with a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 5.5'' FHD display, stereo speakers and a 4070 mAh battery all in an elegant metal body. Despite the low price, you get a very decent package from LeEco. The box of Le Pro 3 Elite X722 is stylish and besides the handset, it contains a 12V/2A fast charger (US plug), USB Type-C data cable, headphone adapter, SIM tray pin and the standard documentation. Le Pro 3 Elite X722 features LeEco's signature design. The body is 98% metal with the only plastic being the antenna caps at the top and the bottom of the back. The backplate and frame are made of CNC crafted aluminium alloy with a sandblasted finish. The back has slightly curved sides, the frame has chamfered edges and the front has a symmetrical design. The 4GB+32GB version of the model is available in gold and rose-gold colour with a sandblasted backplate. The 6GB+64GB variant adds a sandblasted silver colour as well, while the gold and rose-gold colours have a waxed finish. The 6GB+128GB version arrives in gold and ash grey colours with a waxed finish. The hidden structure design of the internals frees more space for the 4070 mAh battery that fits a 7.5 mm thin body. This is achieved by using ultra-thin stacking processing for the motherboard and fingerprint sensor mounting. Hence, Le Pro 3 Elite X722 is one of the thinnest smartphones with a 5.5-inch display and a ~4000 mAh battery. The device is also one of the narrowest and shortest smartphones in this size class with a width of 73.9 mm and a height of 151.4 mm. It weighs 175 grammes, which is an average weight for the size class. The allocation of the various elements of the device is classic for LeEco. Above the display, you will see the LED notification light, light/proximity sensor, an earpiece/stereo speaker, and the front camera. Below the display, there's LeEco's logo that serves as a capacitive Home button. It is with the X720 and X722 that the manufacturer changes the Home button icon and instead of a small circle it is LeEco's logo. The Back and Menu buttons are backlit dots and from the Accessibility menu in the Settings, you can adjust the behaviour of the navigation bar. On the back of the device, the rear camera and a dual-tone LED flash to its right are placed in the centre along the vertical, followed by a fingerprint sensor with a glossy finish. At the bottom, the LeEco logo is imprinted. On the top frame, there's a microphone hole and an infrared port. The bottom one houses a USB Type-C 2.0 port, the second stereo speaker placed behind the right speaker grille and a microphone behind the left grille. The dual Nano-SIM card tray is on the left-hand side frame and the power and volume buttons are on the right-hand side frame. These two metal buttons are the only physical ones on the body. They are embedded in a small glossy furrow and protrude very little. The buttons have thin chamfered edges and a matte finish.

LeEco Le Pro 3 Elite is built around a 5.5-inch in-cell IPS display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a pixel density of 403 ppi. The screen is fully laminated and has a 2.5D curved glass - a very rare feature for LeEco smartphones that appears for the first time in the Le Pro 3 series. The in-cell technology means that the touch sensor layer is implemented inside the cell of the LCD. The full lamination means the LED plane is directly placed on the glass plane which provides better colours, sharper images, thinner display panel. The peak brightness is around 500 cd/m2 and the static contrast ratio is 1200:1. The display covers a bit more than 100% of the sRGB colour space and has low-degree viewing angles at which contrast, colour and brightness are preserved. LeEco's original Android overlay is called EUI and the Le Pro 3 Elite X722 arrive with EUI 5.9.026S (Stable) based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. While there's no hope for EUI based on Android 7.0 Nougat. All applications receive regular updates. EUI is the most accomplished of all overlays when it concerns ecosystem completeness. Creating online content (music, videos, films, etc.) is actually a major part of LeEco's business and its app ecosystem is a vital part of it. The sensors hub on board the model includes an accelerometer, magnetic field, orientation, three-axis gyroscope, light, proximity, gravity, linear acceleration, rotation vector, step counter, a fingerprint sensor.

As long as it concerns connectivity, Le Pro 3 Elite X722 is equipped with an LTE Cat. 12 modem with 3CA, which supports VoLTE, 7 modes and 27 frequencies: 2G GSM (850, 900, 1800, and 1900 MHz), 2.5G CDMA (800 and 1900 MHz), 3G W-CDMA (850, 900, 1700, 1900, and 2100 MHz), 3G TD-SCDMA (1880-1920 and 2010-2025 MHz), 4G LTE-FDD (800 850, 900, 1700/2100, 1800, 2100, 2600 MHz), and 4G LTE-TDD (1900, 2300, 2500, and 2600 MHz) bands. The model also supports dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with 2-stream MU-MIMO, Wi-Fi Display, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.2. No NFC support as in the Le Pro 3 X720. The device works with GPS and GLONASS. It is equipped with a USB Type-C 2.0 port with OTG support and an infrared port, which turns it into a convenient remote control for TV sets, set-top boxes, air conditioners, and other compatible appliances. LeEco Le Pro 3 Elite X722 is based on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 MSM8996 chipset built on the 14nm process. It employs four custom Kryo CPU cores - two clocked at 2.15GHz and the other two - at 1.6GHz. A 624MHz Adreno 530 GPU handles the graphics. A third important element is the built-in Hexagon 680 SPU used for functions that do not require lots of power, which in turn increases the overall power efficiency of the chipset. The model is equipped with 4GB of double-channel, LPDDR4 RAM clocked at 1866MHz and 32GB of UFS 2.0 storage, of which 23GB is available to the user. The model has a 6GB+64GB and a 6GB+128GB version.

The camera department of LeEco Le Pro 3 Elite X722 includes a 16-megapixel Sony IMX298 Exmor RS rear shooter with a 6-element lens, f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash and phase-detection AF. The image resolution is 4608 x 3456 pixels. The camera can shoot 4K videos at 30 fps and slow-motion videos - 720p at 120 fps. The front snapper is equipped with an 8-megapixel OmniVision OV8865 sensor with an image resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels and an f/2.2 lens. It can shoot FHD videos at 30 fps. In Chinese LeEco's name is referred to as "Music". It offers a huge amount of online content and its high-end models are equipped with everything you need to enjoy music. Le Pro 3 Elite X722 offers omnidirectional multimedia experience as it has two stereo speakers - one on the bottom frame, behind the right speaker grille and the second one serving as the earpiece. The device supports Dolby Atmos, CDLA (Continual Digital Lossless Audio) headphones and arrives with a headphone adapter for regular headphones. LeEco is the first smartphone manufacturer that has removed the 3.5 mm jack from its devices, long before Apple did that with the iPhone. It is LeEco's philosophy to route all music through the USB Type-C port in order to get rid of the analogue audio signal and provide a more 'lossless' audio experience. In addition, the model is equipped with three microphones, which besides the hardware benefits also offer customised software optimization that reduces surrounding noise.

LeEco Le Pro 3 Elite X722 packs a 4070 mAh Li-Pol high-density battery that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and uses a 3.6V/3; 5V/3A, 8V/3A, 12V/2A quick charger. The device is software optimised to learn your habits and save power more efficiently over time, which is coupled with real-time battery monitoring. In case you want to get the best out of the battery, you can use the Power saving management tool, which is a part of the Phone Manager application. Which contains various pre-set power saving modes, App adaptive brightness, Lock screen cleanup, Battery assistant and other features.
