All-metal Freetel Rei will go on sale on May 27th

Japan-based Freetel will launch the Freetel Rei on May 27th. The model has been announced earlier this year at the MWC in Barcelona. This is an elegant, all-metal smartphone with a thin waistline (7.2 mm) and five available colors: sky blue, champagne gold, rose gold, metal black and metal silver. The 136-gram, aluminum-alloy body is extremely light, especially for a device with a 5.2-inch FHD IPS display. The model arrives with a 13-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing unit. The Freetel Rei's performance relies on a MediaTek MT6753 chipset with a 1.3GHz octa-core CPU aided by 2GB of RAM. The internal memory measures 32GB and can be expanded with up to 128GB. The non-removable 2800 mAh battery provides up to 750 minutes of talk time and up to 288 hours of standby time. The device has a dual-SIM card tray and supports 3G WCDMA and 4G LTE Cat. 4 networks along with dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with FREETEL UI 1.0 on top, which includes a swipe-up launcher and various effects for scrolling through the apps and the home screens. The device is priced at JPY 29 900 incl. tax, which is around USD 275.Source
