The frame is built from an aluminum–titanium alloy, paired with a dual‑color injection‑molded polycarbonate shell. TPU reinforcement wraps the edges for shock absorption and a secure grip. The phone carries IP68 and IP69K certifications and meets MIL‑STD‑810H standards. It withstands drops from 1.5 meters (up to 16 times), immersion in 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes, high‑pressure jets, and extreme temperatures. We are reviewing the orange one, and we must admit, the rear shell finish with its holographic effects is quite catchy. The 6.6‑inch display is protected by 1.1 mm‑thick Gorilla Glass 5 and comes with a pre‑applied screen protector. Side bezels measure 3 mm, while the top and bottom bezels are 5 mm and 7 mm. The top bezel houses a V‑shaped notch for the selfie camera, with the light and proximity sensors positioned to the right. The earpiece is a thin slit between the frame and the display. Both gesture navigation and virtual buttons are available. The rear panel follows a clean, functional layout. The upper left corner houses three vertically aligned circular elements - two for the two lenses and a third for the dual-tone LED flash. Next to the cameras, a compact secondary display is seamlessly embedded into the back shell. Oukitel WP66 uses a 6.6‑inch IPS display with an FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2408 px) and a 120Hz refresh rate. Oukitel lists a typical brightness of 450 cd/m² and a 1500:1 contrast ratio. Display settings include brightness controls, lock screen options, adaptive brightness, dark theme, night light, auto‑rotate, lift‑to‑wake, display size, text scaling, refresh rate, and screen saver. Note that the 120Hz refresh rate option does not fix the refresh rate at this level. Instead, the device intelligently adjusts the refresh rate according to the content and app. The smartphone also has a secondary display on the rear shell with a 1.81-inch diagonal size and a resolution of 240 x 284 px. This unit also provides a typical brightness of 450 cd/m² and allows you to check calls, messages, alerts, battery status, clock, music player, etc. Our usual measurements of the display's white and black luminance, static contrast ratio, and color temperature are published below. As usual, for a more realistic result, we measure them twice - on a single frame that displays 50% white and 50% black and on two separate frames displaying a fully white and a fully black screen.

The results show a peak brightness of 487.623 cd/m² and a typical of 450 nits, matching the official specification. Our two measurement methods reveal a notable difference in white luminance: 487.623 cd/m² on separate white/black frames versus 357.904cd/m² on a single 50/50 frame. Black levels also differ, resulting in different contrast ratios of 1636:1 and 1377:1, respectively. The white point stays between 7400 K and 7600 K.

Our brightness uniformity measurement shows that the display of the WP66 is relatively uniformly bright with a slightly brighter center. The top one-third of the screen has an average white luminance of 451.2 nits and a temperature of the white point around 7400 K. The middle one-third of the screen is the brightest area with an average white luminance of 481 nits and a temperature of the white point around 7450 K. Just like the top area, the bottom one-third has an average white luminance of 450.6 nits and an average temperature of the white point below 7500 K. The CIE diagram shows wider‑than‑sRGB coverage, producing more vivid greens, yellows, oranges, and light reds. The panel uses a standard vertical RGB stripe arrangement.

Oukitel WP66 Software

The WP66 runs a clean, stock build of Android 16, complete with the familiar interface and behavior users expect. The Lock Screen presents a large, bold clock paired with a compact date widget, while the default Wallpaper Carousel cycles through backgrounds and displays a rotating news snippet. The Home Screen follows a classic, uncluttered structure: a Google search bar with integrated voice search and Lens at the top, a combined clock and date widget, a weather widget, two rows of favorite apps, and a dock anchored at the bottom. Desktop shortcuts are supported, and a second home page hosts the essential pre‑installed apps. Enabling the app drawer through Home Settings reveals the full list of installed applications.

The Task Manager arranges app previews horizontally, allowing you to access app info, activate split‑screen mode when supported, capture screenshots, or close apps directly from each preview. The Customization Picker offers control over wallpapers, themes, styles, transition effects, widgets, and Home settings. From here, you can toggle the app drawer, enable or disable Google Discover, manage notification dots, adjust the app repository, configure desktop gestures, activate hot apps, and turn on the smart assistant. ToolBox consolidates a wide range of practical utilities into a single hub, including a compass, sound meter, leveling tool for picture hanging, height meter, gradienter, mirror, magnifier, alarm bell, plumb bob, protractor, and a dedicated torch separate from the standalone Flashlight app. The Security app provides system maintenance and protection tools such as Clean Up, Virus Scan, App Manager, Network Detection, Floating Window Manager, and Notifications Manager. TapPic offers a curated wallpaper selection with the option to download additional images. The device also includes a number of third-party apps, which you may choose to remove. The Settings app is monochrome, listing the different menus in six distinct groups. For the most part, these settings are in their stock Android variant. You get all the latest Android 16 perks, including the dedicated Modes menu and the Notifications Cooldown feature. There's also a Smart Assistant menu, comprising toggles for features such as three-finger screenshot, three-finger camera activation, double-tap screen lock, and screenshot options. The CPU includes two Cortex‑A78 cores at 2.5GHz and six Cortex‑A55 cores at 2GHz, paired with an IMG BXM‑8‑256 GPU at 950MHz. The device includes 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage, with 495GB available to the user. Storage expansion supports up to 2TB microSD cards. RAM can be virtually expanded by 24GB, reaching a total of 36GB. Oukitel WP66 Rear Cameras

The main camera uses a 108MP Samsung S5KHM6 ISOCELL sensor with a 1/1.67" format and 0.64 μm pixels. It has an f/1.9 aperture and captures 12MP photos by default and records 2K videos at 16 fps and FHD videos at 27 fps. The second unit is a 2MP BYD BF2257CS macro unit with a 78° FoV, an f/2.2 aperture, and 4 cm working distance. Oukitel WP66 Battery Life Tests

Oukitel WP66 is powered by a 11000 mAh battery, supporting 33W fast charging. The manufacturer specifies up to 65 hours of talk time, up to 20 hours of game time, up to 20H of video time, and up to 1300 hours of standby time. Below, we publish the results from our in-house battery life tests. The display of every device we test is calibrated to 200 cd/m². Battery-saving features are switched off where possible. The 120Hz refresh rate setting acts as an automatic one, hence the results of the 60Hz and the 120Hz tests are very similar. The Oukitel WP66's battery was fully charged in 2 hours and 3 minutes using the included charger and cable. The charging process maintains a stable pace up to the 80% mark, which is achieved in 1 hour and 23 minutes. From there, the speed slows down, and even more so after 90%, resulting in an additional 50 minutes to complete the process.

The voltage behavior follows a logical pattern. It jumps from 3890 mV to 4020 mV within the first three minutes, then rises more gradually. Once the battery hits roughly 70%, the voltage stabilizes at about 4400 mV, dipping slightly during the last 5 minutes.

The battery temperature starts at 29°C and increases gradually, peaking at 48°C after 1 hour and 3 minutes. This level is maintained for about 15 minutes, then the temperature starts decreasing, measuring 33°C in the end. During our intensive browsing test with the screen's refresh rate set at 60Hz, the WP66 battery lasted for 23 hours and 3 minutes. The discharging process is slow during the first 1 hour and 30 minutes. After that, it maintains a steady, faster speed until the battery drops to 5%. At that point, the discharging process becomes gentler. The battery temperature begins at 27°C, reaches 35°C in two hours, and fluctuates around this level until the end. The video-playing battery life test uses a 1080p video at 30 fps with a ~20 Mbps rate. In this scenario, the WP66 lasted 26 hours and 46 minutes. The discharge curve mirrors what's already been observed during the browsing test. The process is slow during the first hour and a half, then gains speed and maintains it until the battery dips below 5%, after which the process slows down again. The battery temperature starts at 29°C, hits 34°C in an hour, and remains at this level until the end.

Oukitel WP66 Battery Settings

The Battery menu includes standard controls for usage monitoring, app‑level consumption, and battery saver scheduling. Adaptive Battery and status bar percentage toggles are available. A Battery Health section offers charging modes designed to extend long‑term lifespan, including Sleep Charging Mode, and provides details such as manufacturing date, activation date, and total charge cycles.
