Unihertz Luna Review - impressive design crowning a well-specced smartphone

Unihertz Luna is based on the 6nm MediaTek Helio G99 (MT6789) system-on-chip. It houses an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. An ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU with two cores clocked up to 1000MHz handles the graphics department. There are 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM clocked at 2133 MHz and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage onboard. There is no option for expanding the storage. Of the 256GB total built-in memory, 236GB are available to the user. Other smartphones which we have reviewed and are based on the same Helio G99 chipset are Ulefone Power Armor 19, Doogee S100, Unihertz Tank, and Ulefone Armor 17T. Our Unihertz Luna review unit scored 376,540 points on AnTuTu 9. This is a typical result for this chipset on AnTuTu from all devices based on it that we've tested. This overall AnTuTu 9 result is comparable to the performance of the devices using the Snapdragon 750G and Snapdragon 695 chipsets. The single-core and multi-core Geekbench 5 results show a performance that's on par with that of devices based on the Snapdragon 730, Snapdragon 695, and Dimenisty 700 chipsets. This is further confirmed by the PCMark Work 3.0 result. The Geekbench 6 results are now limited for comparison but show that the devices based on the Helio G99 chipset have close results.
