Ulefone Power Armor 19 Review

Performance

Ulefone Armor 19 is based on a MediaTek Helio G99 (MT6789) chipset. Manufactured using TSMC's 6 nm process technology, this SoC was introduced in 2022. One of its advantages over older production nodes is the increased power efficiency. It also supports big displays with high resolutions, fast refresh rates, and big camera sensors. The chipset offers an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz. An ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU with two cores clocked up to 1000MHz handles the graphics department. There are 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM clocked at 2133 MHz and 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage onboard. There's an option to virtually expand the RAM with 2GB, 3GB or 5GB from the Memory Expansion menu in the settings. Of the 256GB onboard the device, 238GB are available to the user. The built-in storage can be expanded via a microSD card slot in the hybrid, dual-SIM tray. Other smartphones which we have reviewed and are based on the same Helio G99 chipset are Doogee S100, Unihertz Tank, and Ulefone Armor 17T. Our Ulefone Power Armor 19 review unit scored 388,015 points on AnTuTu 9. This is the highest result of this chipset on AnTuTu from all four devices based on it we've tested. This overall AnTuTu 9 result is comparable to the performance of the devices using the Snapdragon 845, Snapdragon 750G, and Snapdragon 695 chipsets. The single-core and multi-core Geekbench 5 results show a performance that's on par with that of devices based on the Snapdragon 730 and Dimenisty 700 chipsets. This is further confirmed by the PCMark Work 3.0 result. The Geekbench 6 results are now limited for comparison but show that the two devices based on the Helio G99 chipset have close results.
